But that’s not “The End.” We also provide strategic guidance on how and where to tell your story—creating marketing and communication plans to reach your audience and drive your objectives.
Execution
We keep your destination in sight, and can help you implement your plan and cross the finish line.
Kristin Aasmundstad Walsh, Founder and Principal
Strategic Storyteller
After eight years of experience in the marketing communications world, Kristin launched KAW Marketing Communications—inspired by colleagues, and driven by the desire to broaden her experiences, expand her impact, and honor her entrepreneurial spirit. Eminently curious, Kristin dives into each client’s world, and has become a valuable communications partner to a range of businesses and organizations.
Prior to launching KAW, Kristin was director of marketing for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and associate director of communications at Concordia University. She launched her career at Bethesda Lutheran Communities in public relations, where she first discovered that employers value English majors for their writing acumen and superior critical analysis skills. May it always be so!
Also invested in her community and giving back, Kristin serves as member of the Helen Plum Library’s Board of Trustees (elected for three terms), and has been heavily involved as a volunteer with her local public schools, including serving on the high school’s Fine Arts Boosters as Vice President of Music.
Music of all kinds fills her soul (including playing the clarinet in a community concert band), as do stories in myriad shapes and sizes. Most of all, she is filled with joy—and occasionally terror—riding the roller coaster of life with her husband, Jon, and their two children.
With a desire to lean into healthcare, Kristin returned to grad school at Northwestern University and received a master of science in health communication degree. She is deeply interested in patient-centered care and how better communication can transform the relationship between patients and clinicians. Big picture, she is passionate about using communication to impact healthcare.
In addition to her Midwestern sensibility, she attributes her collaborative, can-do spirit to having begun her career in the non-profit world, where she wore many hats, both strategic and tactical. Asking questions since childhood, she engages her naturally inquisitive mind to help organizations tell their stories—unearthing gems from unexpected places by asking the right questions to find the core of a story.
